Contest rules and photo permission
How it works
Submit one photo of your costume using the form below. Entries are judged by the Magnetic World team on creativity, craft and fright factor. Winners are chosen in three categories: Best Dressed, Scariest Costume and Best Group Costume.
Prizes
Best Dressed wins a Magnetic World 2027 Industry Pass. Scariest Costume and Best Group Costume each win a prize. Prizes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged.
Who can enter
You must be 19 or older and attending Harbour of Horrors on October 31 at the Lighthouse Arts Centre in Halifax. One entry per person. Group entries are made by one member who has the group's agreement.
Photos
By submitting, you confirm the photo is yours or you have permission to use it, and everyone in it has agreed. You give Magnetic World and its production partners permission to share it on their websites, social media and marketing, with credit where possible.
Your details are used to run the contest and, if you opt in, to send you Magnetic World emails. By entering you agree to these rules.
